Jungian Psychoanalysis for our times
Great that you are considering Jungian Psychoanalysis! Here you will find an introduction to why it is such a valuable approach to working on yourself and how it can help you become more conscious and whole as a human being. You will also find some background reading and further information about how to use Jungian ideas. Let’s get started!
About Jungian Psychoanalysis
There are as many reasons to start Jungian Psychoanalysis as there are people. For some it is a way to deal with depression, for others it is a consequence of crisis and loss or just a wish to be more authentic in relationships and at work. Yet others are just curious about their own driving forces or about what their dreams really mean and want to get a clearer idea of in which direction life might take them.
About Carl Jung
Carl Jung was one of the creators of modern analytical or depth psychology, which seeks to facilitate a conversation with the unconscious energies moving through each of us. He contributed many ideas, which continue to inform contemporary life: complex, archetype, persona, shadow, anima and animus, personality typology, dream interpretation, individuation, and many others.
About me
I am a certified Jungian Psychoanalyst (IAAP) trained at the C.G. Jung Institute and the International School of Analytical Psychology (ISAP) in Zürich. Since 2007 I have been active both as a private Jungian practitioner and as an executive coach in the corporate world. I live in Stockholm, Sweden and work in Swedish, English and German, both face-to-face and online.
Spirituality
Spirituality is a very wide term with highly individual interpretations. Spirituality deals with our contact and relationship with the "numinous", unknown or holy in life and that which is the most intimate contact with the universe within and around us. Most of us have an intuitive understanding of the spiritual when we encounter it but, unfortunately, institutionalised spiritual traditions have worn down much of its original meaning.
Other uses for Analytical Psychology
Analytical Psychology has always attracted all sorts of artists, communicators, decision-makers and human resources experts. It tries to understand the root causes of convictions and the symbolical cores of motivational driving forces. It seeks the archetypal patterns behind collective processes, narratives, compelling stories and artistic expressions.
